please, don't strip my mind
Someone left me an ask wondering what my biggest insecurity was. Well, besides my jew nose (Thanks Grandma), it’s my bite. Or a complete lack there of. I had braces for four years and my teeth were nearly perfect, but they never would touch. The orthooos and dentists told me that I needed to have jaw surgery and screws implanted in my jaw and gums, which I couldn’t afford. Along with head gear I’d have to wear during the day, which, obviously, FUCK NO. So we took my braces off and that was that. I wore my retainers everyday, but they told me my teeth would still move regardless because my jaw isn’t aligned and my palette isn’t firm. So, end result…my teeth don’t touch, and are going crooked again. I literally can’t eat, even off a fork. You can fit your pinky, a pencil, and lotsss of other things in between my no-bite, hahaha. I have to cut all my food into tiny little pieces and chew it on my back teeth. I can’t bite my nails. I can’t bite anything. Fortunately, I can still bite other people cos skin is generally thick enough to fit in between there ;) But yes. I am suuuch a fan of perfect teeth. And mine kill me. It’s embarrassing to eat in front of people, so I usually don’t. And I kind of look squirrely sometimes. A lot of people don’t think it’s something worthy of dwelling on, but it’s a bummer, and it makes me feel hideous.
So there’s that…
